Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ Set for Major Music Deal
Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most celebrated stars in Indian cinema, is making waves yet again. Following his successful releases of 2023, Pathaan and Jawan, he is gearing up to return to the silver screen this Christmas in the much-anticipated film, King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
Sources indicate that the buzz surrounding King has reached new heights, especially with Khan reportedly negotiating a record deal for the film’s music rights. Industry insiders suggest that with the talented duo Sachin and Jigar handling the soundtrack, King is becoming one of the most sought-after music projects this year. Leading music labels like Sony, Sare Gama, and T-Series are all competing, with one firm currently offering around ₹50 crore for the rights.
If finalized, this deal would mark one of the largest in recent history, trails only behind Ramayana and Dhurandhar 2. The excitement surrounding King isn’t just about its theatrical release; it’s making significant strides in the music market as well. To put things in perspective, Ramayana fetched ₹75 crore for both parts, while King is close to sealing a ₹50 crore deal for a single film’s music.
As for the film itself, King is set to hit theaters during the Christmas weekend of 2026. The shooting is nearing completion, with only 15 days left, and the post-production is actively underway.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project as it approaches its release!
