Two Healthcare Workers Fired Over Comments About Charlie Kirk’s Death
Two healthcare workers have lost their jobs due to inappropriate remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA.
In New Orleans, Acadian Ambulance Service announced the termination of one of its employees, citing a recent social media post that did not align with the company’s values. The statement emphasized that the employee’s comments were not representative of their mission. The post has since been deleted, and the individual is no longer with the company.
“Our team members dedicate their lives to caring for others in their moments of greatest need,” Acadian’s statement explained. “We hold each other accountable to maintain respect, dignity, and professionalism in all aspects of our work.”
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta also terminated an unnamed employee for making inappropriate comments about Kirk’s shooting. A spokesperson for the organization confirmed the situation, saying that such rhetoric contradicts their social media policy.
Kirk was tragically assassinated on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. His death has sparked a series of reactions across various professional fields, leading to multiple employee dismissals and suspensions for endorsing violence.
