AITA Questions Administrator’s Neutrality
PUNE: The All India Tennis Association (AITA) is raising concerns about the neutrality of Justice (Retd) Gita Mittal, who has been appointed by the High Court to oversee operations. AITA’s interim president, Chintan Parikh, criticized her approach to the federation’s compliance process, describing it as “unacceptable.”
The AITA plans to hold meetings this weekend in New Delhi. An interim executive committee meeting is scheduled for Saturday, followed by an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Sunday. These meetings aim to discuss and approve changes to the constitution that Justice Mittal has drafted, which align with the National Sports Act, 2026, as required by the Delhi High Court.
