Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is mourning the loss of his beloved mother, Garima Malhotra, who passed away on the afternoon of March 19. Manish shared a deep bond with his mother, confiding in her during both joyful and challenging times.
In a heartfelt interview a few months ago, Manish reflected on their relationship. He recalled, “From a young age, around 5 or 6, I was captivated by cinema and fashion. I loved to dance to songs and even played around with my mother’s sarees. My mother, who came from undivided India, was keen on my education, so she hired a tutor for me early on. She once shared a funny story from when I was in first grade, where the tutor told her, ‘Mrs. Malhotra, your son keeps commenting on my shoes instead of focusing on his studies!’ She always supported my passions for cinema and fashion.”
This personal loss marks a significant moment in Manish’s life, highlighting the importance of family and memories that last a lifetime.
