When reporters in the Oval Office pressed Trump about Purdue’s comments, he responded, “I’ve never heard of that one.”
Trump acknowledged the superiority of American military equipment but insisted that the two leaders did not discuss any potential arms sales, stating, “They’d probably like to buy it because we do make better equipment than them, so maybe it’s a good idea. But we didn’t discuss it.”
