Luckin Coffee Celebrates 100th Store Opening in Singapore
Luckin Coffee Inc. has proudly opened its 100th store in Singapore, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion. Since launching operations in Singapore in 2023, the company has quickly become the second-largest coffee chain in the city, attracting over 1.9 million customers.
The opening ceremony of the 100th store saw attendance from notable representatives, including members from the Chinese Embassy and the Singapore Economic Development Board, along with partners from various organizations like Temasek and CapitaLand.
Singapore’s vibrant coffee culture and supportive business environment have played a crucial role in Luckin Coffee’s success. “2023 was a pivotal year for us as we stepped outside China. Our goal has always been to create a world-class coffee brand that integrates into people’s daily lives,” said Luckin Coffee’s Chairman, David Li. He added that the company’s rapid growth in Singapore demonstrates the effectiveness of its business model.
To cater to local tastes, Luckin Coffee has introduced over 130 unique products in Singapore, including popular regional flavors like pandan and brown sugar. Two of their standout drinks, the Coconut Latte and Little Butter Latte, have each sold over 2 million cups. Additionally, the company has tailored its menu to align with local health standards, ensuring that all drinks are rated Grade C and above under Singapore’s Nutri-Grade system.
Luckin Coffee’s new store in Bugis, a lively area known for blending historical charm with modern energy, was designed with sustainability in mind, meeting LEED Gold certification standards. This aligns with Luckin’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
Luckin Coffee’s success in Singapore is also reflected in its broader reach, with over 500 million customers served across more than 38,000 stores in China and other countries, including the USA and Malaysia.
To celebrate the milestone, Luckin has launched a community initiative in partnership with the Institute of Mental Health to raise awareness about mental health. This initiative includes selling art created by mental health service users in their stores, supporting both local employment and community health efforts.
“We are pleased to see Luckin Coffee deepen its roots in Singapore, offering new jobs and engaging with the local community. We look forward to supporting the company as it continues to grow globally,” remarked Mr. Ng Ming Liang from the Economic Development Board.
Luckin Coffee also emphasizes its commitment to sourcing high-quality coffee beans from diverse regions around the globe, ensuring sustainable relationships with coffee producers in Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, and more.
With 2026 marking 36 years of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, Luckin was honored to be the coffee partner at a recent reception for the Chinese National Day celebrations, highlighting coffee’s role as a unifying force.
“We are dedicated to making a positive impact in every community we enter. Looking ahead, we plan to strengthen our presence in Singapore, enhancing the daily coffee experience for our customers and adding value to the community,” Li concluded.
