Jeffrey C. Taylor Bids Farewell to Digital Risk After 22 Years

Jeffrey C. Taylor, a well-known figure in the mortgage industry and founder of Digital Risk, has announced that he is stepping away from the company. The news was shared in a heartfelt post on his LinkedIn account.

Digital Risk was established in October 2004 and was later acquired by Mphasis in 2012. Despite the change in ownership, Taylor continued to play a key role as the managing director of Mphasis Digital Risk. He has also been actively involved with the Mortgage Bankers Association and has frequently appeared on major media platforms such as CNBC.

In his LinkedIn message, Taylor expressed the emotional weight of his decision. “After 22 extraordinary years, I have stepped away from Digital Risk,” he wrote. “I’ve often joked that Digital Risk was my firstborn. Saying goodbye to something I poured so much of my life into is far more emotional than I ever imagined.”

The company was also contacted for comments regarding Taylor’s departure. He remains a board member of the MBA and served as the MORPAC chairman for the years 2021 and 2022. According to his post, he plans to continue his involvement with the MBA Open Door Foundation.

In addition to his work with Digital Risk, Taylor co-founded Rapid Reporting Verification in 1999 and previously started American Transfer & Trust.

In his farewell message, he took the time to thank all his partners, teammates, and clients. “To my founding partners—and every teammate, client, partner, and friend who believed in us—thank you for helping turn an idea into something truly special,” he said.

Taylor described his collaboration with Mphasis as the beginning of “a remarkable second chapter” for Digital Risk. He expressed his gratitude to everyone at Mphasis for their contributions, stating, “Together, we accomplished more than I ever thought possible.”

While Taylor didn’t reveal his next plans, he mentioned that it’s time to focus on being present for his wife, Jaclyn, and their sons, Landon and Preston.

As he closed his message, Taylor reflected on his journey: “I leave with tremendous pride, a full heart, and a lifetime of memories. I look forward to seeing many of you on a golf course or youth baseball field somewhere.”
