Poonam Dhillon, the renowned actress, has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after being diagnosed with dengue fever. The 64-year-old star has been receiving treatment for a few days now and is on the road to recovery.
In an update shared by journalist Vickey Lalwani on Instagram, he mentioned that he reached out to Dhillon on August 22 to check on her health. She informed him that she was feeling better, and he expressed his wishes for her speedy recovery and hope for her return home soon.
This incident comes shortly after Dhillon found herself in a bit of controversy related to the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), where she holds the position of president. Recently, eight members of CINTAA’s Executive Committee resigned, prompting calls for new elections. They raised concerns that Dhillon and Senior Vice President Padmini Kolhapure, along with other committee members, had begun to dominate crucial decision-making processes within the organization.
In response to the resignations and the surrounding issues, Dhillon expressed her surprise at the accusations. She defended her involvement in the association, highlighting that she and Kolhapure have been actively supporting CINTAA with their own resources and industry connections.
As she focuses on her recovery from dengue, the updates on Dhillon’s health continue to be closely monitored. Further news about her condition is anticipated in the coming days.
