Goldman Sachs Economist on AI and Job Losses

A leading economist from Goldman Sachs has shared insights about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the job market. They noted that while many workers in the U.S. may face job losses due to AI advancements, the widespread fear of massive unemployment may be overstated.

The economist emphasized that while certain roles are at risk, AI has the potential to create new opportunities as well. They encouraged a balanced view, suggesting that technology has historically transformed the job landscape, leading to the emergence of new types of employment.

Furthermore, the economist called for active efforts to prepare the workforce for these changes. This involves investing in education and training programs, so workers can transition into new roles that AI will create.

In summary, although many jobs could be affected by AI, it is important to recognize that change can also bring growth and new possibilities in the job market.
