UAE Tops Global Property Investment Rankings Amid Regional Strife
A recent global survey has revealed that the UAE is the leading destination for property investment, despite ongoing tensions in the region. This study, initiated by Arada, highlights the growing interest in UAE real estate.
The survey, conducted in April by the US-based Penta Group, reached out to 689 established property investors across 12 major markets. This research is seen as a significant attempt to gauge international interest in the UAE’s real estate sector.
According to the findings, 56% of global investors reported a strong interest in investing in the UAE, surpassing all other markets included in the study. Following the UAE were the United States with 54%, the United Kingdom at 41%, France with 28%, and Spain at 27%.
The survey also indicated that 51% of respondents were familiar with the investment opportunities in the UAE, a level comparable to that in the UK and the US, which stood at 51% and 53%, respectively. Notably, 91% of Indian investors, 92% of Egyptian investors, and 85% of Saudi investors listed the UAE as one of their top three investment choices.
Among European investors, the UAE was particularly appealing, with 63% of French investors, 60% of German investors, and 57% of Swiss investors identifying it as their preferred location outside of their home countries.
One of the key reasons for this strong interest is the potential for high returns. Globally, 38% of investors cited return on investment as their primary concern. This was even more pronounced among Australian investors (57%), Spanish investors (56%), and British investors (41%).
Conversely, safety and stability were the main factors driving Chinese investors (65%) and German investors (58%) towards the UAE. The country’s favorable reputation as an accessible and investor-friendly market was echoed by 34% of survey respondents, notably rising to 57% among Saudi investors and 41% among Egyptian investors.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, commented on the results, stating, “These findings reflect our own experiences in sales, showing that despite recent challenges, international investors are recognizing the UAE’s solid advantages in terms of regulations, performance, and economic stability.”
This survey underscores the UAE’s growing prominence in the global real estate landscape, affirming its appeal even amid challenges faced by other regions.
