A shocking video from Texas has gone viral, showing a man tearing down an Indian flag while making comments about an alleged “Indian invasion.” This act has sparked a wave of outrage on social media, with many people, both Indian and Indian American, calling it disrespectful and a sign of growing anti-Indian sentiment.

The footage, widely shared on X, features a man named Clayton Walker, who can be seen pulling down and ripping up an Indian flag outside what appears to be a city hall in Texas. The video quickly spread across both American and Indian social media, prompting strong reactions and reigniting discussions about immigration, race, and the treatment of the Indian community.

As criticism grew, Walker responded by saying on X, “The Indians are making AI of me now. Why are you so mad? It’s just a flag.” His remarks seemed to stir up even more anger, particularly among those who felt targeted by his actions.

Many users reposted the clip, framing it as a reaction to increasing Indian immigration in parts of Texas. One user wrote, “A Texas resident rips an Indian flag in front of city hall as Americans voice their anger against the mass Indian invasion in north Dallas.” This kind of rhetoric was flagged by many as crossing a dangerous line, fueling hostility toward Indian immigrants.

For many in the Indian community, this incident was about more than just a flag. Watching the video, they felt it reflected a larger trend of anti-Indian content online, with conversations about immigration and job competition increasingly featuring negative views about Indians.

In recent months, criticism of Indian immigration has become more prominent online, with some influencers building audiences by portraying Indian immigrants as threats to local communities and job markets. The Texas video seems to connect with this broader debate, causing concern that online hostility could lead to real-world consequences.

One user appealed directly to former President Donald Trump, urging him to condemn the act: “@realDonaldTrump, we respect our Flags 🇺🇸 and 🇮🇳 equally, this should be condemned by you. 🙏 Your silence allows far-right groups to abuse the Indian community.”

Another commentator emphasized the importance of the Indian flag, known as the ‘Tiranga,’ stating, “This flag represents pride for every Indian, and tearing it apart in America is unacceptable. We demand justice.”

Reactions flooded in across social media, with many expressing their anger and disappointment over rising hostility toward Indians. This incident comes at a time when Indian Americans are one of the fastest-growing immigrant groups in the U.S., contributing significantly to various fields like technology, healthcare, and education.

The video has caught the attention of Indian media outlets, which have highlighted the emotional responses from those who see the act as a disrespect not just to a flag, but to the entire Indian community abroad.

As the video continues to circulate, it has transformed from a local event into a significant moment in a larger conversation about immigration, identity, race, and the treatment of immigrant communities today.
