NTR Jr. is making headlines as he embarks on a new journey with “War 2.” Recent reports reveal that he is set to earn a whopping ₹70 crores for his role, while Hrithik Roshan will take home ₹50 crores plus additional earnings from backend profits.
In an interesting turn of events, it has been confirmed that YRF has sold the Telugu rights for “War 2” to Naga Vamsi for ₹90 crores. This means that all profits from the theatrical release in Telugu will now go to Vamsi. YRF has effectively recouped ₹90 crores from its ₹400 crore budget. A trusted trade source mentioned that the Telugu rights deal is now concluded.
In a strategic partnership, Naga Vamsi and NTR Jr. have also created a backend agreement to share the profits from the Telugu version. After his initial salary, NTR Jr. stands to earn around ₹100 crores by the end of the film’s run, thanks to the expected high profits from “War 2.” Notably, neither YRF nor Hrithik will be involved in the Telugu profit-sharing; it will be split between NTR Jr. and Vamsi.
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan has a separate agreement with YRF, which will allow him to receive a percentage of the overall profits. The Telugu revenue is now fixed at ₹90 crores, meaning any additional earnings will be considered a bonus for Vamsi and NTR Jr., who secured the film through a minimum guarantee model.
“War 2” is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, with Ayan Mukerji directing.
