The horror-comedy film Nayyi Navelli was released today, October 16, and it’s already drawing attention for its quirky trailer and unique storyline. Yami Gautam Dhar, who recently won a National Award, stars in the movie, which has an interesting surprise for viewers: Jacqueline Fernandez makes a special cameo appearance.
In her brief time on screen, Jacqueline brings plenty of laughs during a key hilarious scene. Although her role is short, she manages to leave a mark on the film. This is the second time Yami and Jacqueline have appeared together, having previously co-starred in the horror comedy Bhoot Police in 2021.
Nayyi Navelli boasts a cast that includes Addinath M Kothare, Anurag Thakur, and Sunita Rajwar. The film is produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma under their Colour Yellow banner and is presented by Amazon MGM Studios. The story is written by Himanshu Sharma, while Divy Nidhi Sharma took care of the screenplay, with Balaji Mohan in the director’s chair.
The plot centers around a mysterious woman who marries into a joint family in Meerut, leading to chaos when her husband’s younger brother suspects she might be a witch, referred to as a ‘daayan’ in local lore.
For Jacqueline, Nayyi Navelli marks her second film appearance this year, following her role in Welcome To The Jungle. Last year, she appeared in the comedy Housefull 5 and the action film Fateh, alongside Sonu Sood. She also made a brief appearance in the song “Money Money” from the movie Raid 2.
