Shibasish Sarkar has been unanimously re-elected as the President of the Producers Guild of India during the first meeting of the new Council of Management, which took place right after the Guild’s 72nd Annual General Meeting on September 22, 2026.
At the AGM, several prominent figures from the film industry, including Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Rajkumar Hirani, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Zoya Akhtar, became new members of the Guild’s Council of Management.
Other key positions in the Guild were filled, with Manish Goswami, Madhu Bhojwani, Ankur Garg, and Aashish Singh re-elected as Vice Presidents. Ashim Samanta and Fazila Allana will continue to serve as Treasurers. Additionally, Sushilkumar Agrawal and Hiren Gada have also been elected as Vice Presidents.
