Apple iCloud+ Expands Benefits for Users in India
As internet connections get better, we’re finding ourselves with more files to manage and more devices to use, like smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and streaming gadgets. One company that shows this clearly is Apple, which integrates its products seamlessly through a single account. At the center of this is iCloud.
Everyone with an Apple device gets 5GB of iCloud storage for free. However, for those looking for more, iCloud+ starts at just ₹75 a month and offers additional features and storage options. This month, exciting news comes for iCloud+ subscribers in India—they can now enjoy Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no extra cost.
Apple TV lets users stream their favorite shows and movies, while Apple Arcade offers a collection of ad-free games. Normally, these services cost ₹99 each, but they are now included in the iCloud+ subscription, making it a great deal for users.
When it comes to storage options, iCloud+ offers various tiers: 50GB for ₹75 a month, 200GB for ₹219, 2TB for ₹749, and even larger packages up to 12TB.
Additionally, Apple is introducing Apple Music Select for iCloud+ subscribers in India. This feature includes a variety of ad-free music stations tailored to different genres and regional preferences. While subscribers can also get Apple Music directly for ₹115 a month (individual plan) or ₹145 (family plan), this offers another layer of value.
iCloud+ is not just about storing files; it provides essential features like Hide My Email and iCloud Private Relay. With Private Relay, users can keep their internet activity secure, preventing websites from tracking their online behavior. Hide My Email allows users to sign up for services without disclosing their personal email addresses, helping reduce spam.
In addition to all these benefits, Apple has decided to stop offering the Apple One bundle to new subscribers in India because of the overlap with iCloud+. However, current Apple One subscribers will still maintain access to their services.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, expressed enthusiasm about these new offerings, stating, “We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription.” With these enhancements, users can securely manage their content while enjoying top-notch entertainment options.
