Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Atlanta
NEW YORK: A Delta Air Lines flight with over 200 people on board had to make an emergency landing in Atlanta on Saturday. This situation arose after the crew reported the presence of fumes in the cockpit, as shared by an airline spokesperson.
A crew member and a passenger required medical attention, according to an email from the airline.
The flight, which was headed to Florida (Flight 2204), declared an emergency shortly after taking off and quickly returned to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Delta reported that passengers exited the plane using emergency slides and were then moved to a new flight heading to Orlando. The flight included six crew members and 199 passengers.
