TeamLease attributes its revenue growth to adding more clients in both general and specialized staffing sectors. The company reported an EBITDA of INR 320 million, which is a 3% year-over-year increase but represents a 31% decline compared to the prior quarter. This decline is linked to seasonal trends in EdTech and annual employee appraisals, according to the firm.
Suparna Mitra, managing director and CEO of TeamLease Services, noted in a press release, “Our operating EBITDA has improved by 18% YoY, thanks to the performance of our Global Capability Centre (GCC) and enhanced operational efficiency.”
Mitra also commented on hiring trends, elaborating that while general staffing demands are softer, the company’s rate of adding new clients and productivity in hiring is steadily increasing. She emphasized that ongoing formal changes in the economy and a rising demand for talent solutions are transforming the job market.
During this quarter, TeamLease added 127 new enterprise clients across its various business areas.
In the specialized staffing segment, gross revenue grew by 21% year-over-year. However, the EBITDA dropped by 10% sequentially due to the annual appraisal cycle and an uptick in employee leaves.
The GCC unit contributed over 67% of the total revenue from specialized staffing, supported by more than 120 clients across various sectors, including life sciences, telecom, consulting, engineering, consumer goods, and IT.
Conversely, HR services revenue saw a significant decline of 34% from the previous quarter, primarily influenced by the seasonal nature of EdTech, which generally peaks in the fourth quarter.

On Thursday, TeamLease shares ended at INR 1,270, reflecting a decline of 2.25% for the day.
