PV Sindhu Reaches Final of Japan Open for the First Time
PV Sindhu has achieved a significant milestone by reaching the final of the Japan Open, marking her first appearance in this decisive match. On Saturday, July 18, she defeated Chen Yufei with a score of 21-19, 15-10, as Yufei had to retire from the match due to a hamstring injury in the second game.
This victory also ended a challenging five-match losing streak against the Chinese player. Sindhu is now set to face either Akane Yamaguchi from Japan or Putri Kusuma Wardani from Indonesia in the final on Sunday, July 19.
