Investigation Underway in Child’s Mysterious Death in Lucknow

Lucknow: Authorities are looking into the tragic death of a four-and-a-half-year-old boy in the Madiaon area. Questions are being raised after doctors discovered multiple injury marks on the child’s body, contradicting his mother’s story that he died from a bathroom accident.

The boy, named Aham, was taken to RMLIMS on Friday evening, where he was sadly pronounced dead. According to his mother, Poonam, Aham slipped and fell in the bathroom on July 3, sustaining a serious head injury. She claimed they rushed him to the hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.

However, hospital officials reported finding several injuries on Aham’s body, leading them to suspect foul play. They noted that after notifying Poonam about her son’s death, she allegedly left his body at the hospital and did not return until the next morning.

Poonam has disputed these claims, telling the police that the doctors had instructed her to come back the next day, which is why she left.

Dinesh, Poonam’s husband, shared that they have three sons. He claimed Poonam had taken the children and moved from their home in Unnao to Lucknow to live with her sister. Later on, she moved into a rented place with their youngest child.

Dinesh stated that Poonam had initially left all their children with her family in Unnao. In April, she sought custody at the Bighapur police station. After a police-assisted agreement, she took Aham with her to Lucknow, where they had been living together.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to uncover the circumstances surrounding Aham’s death.
