Allu Arjun Summoned by Hyderabad Court Over Pushpa 2 Stampede Incident

Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been called to appear at the Nampally Court in Hyderabad regarding the tragic stampede that took place during a special screening of Pushpa 2 in December 2024. The court has requested the actor to be present on June 22 for ongoing legal discussions tied to this serious incident.

The summons were confirmed by Allu Arjun’s legal team, which stated, “Nampally Court has issued summons for the actor to attend a hearing on Monday. More details will follow soon.”

The stampede occurred on December 4, 2024, as fans gathered outside the Sandhya Theatre, excited to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. Witnesses reported that the crowd grew significantly after the actor’s arrival, leading to a surge that resulted in chaos outside the venue.

Unfortunately, the incident claimed the life of a woman named Revathi, while her son, Sri Teja, was seriously injured and required hospitalization. This event has raised concerns about crowd control and safety measures during large film screenings. In response to the tragedy, Allu Arjun and his family extended their support to those affected; the actor provided financial help to Revathi’s family, and his father, renowned producer Allu Aravind, pledged Rs 2 crores to assist the bereaved family.

The Chikkadpally Police have identified Allu Arjun as accused number 11 in the case, with the theatre’s management being listed as accused numbers 1 to 10. The Nampally Court has summoned a total of 19 individuals linked to the case, and a chargesheet has been filed against 23 people as part of the ongoing investigation.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the court will look into various factors, including the management of the crowd and the events that led up to the stampede.
