The beloved horror series 1920 is making a comeback with a brand-new addition. Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and producer Anand Pandit are teaming up for 1920: Cold Winter, which promises to continue the supernatural thrills that fans have enjoyed for almost 20 years.

This exciting news follows the success of Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, which premiered on June 12, 2026. Riding on that wave of success, Bhatt and Pandit are revamping one of India’s most well-known horror franchises with what promises to be another terrifying tale.

1920: Cold Winter will be both written and directed by Vikram Bhatt. He is well-known for his work on the original film, 1920 (2008), and its sequel, 1921 (2018). Anand Pandit will produce the film, with Roopa Pandit and Rahul V Dubey assisting as co-producers.

This collaboration marks another successful chapter in the partnership between Vikram Bhatt and Anand Pandit. They previously worked together on 1920: Horrors of the Heart (2023), which was directed by Krishna Bhatt. That film introduced younger audiences to the franchise, featuring stars like Avika Gor and Randheer Rai.

The 1920 series started in 2008 with the first film, which showcased the story of a man who abandons his faith only to find his wife possessed by a dark force. Its success helped establish the series as a significant player in the horror genre.

Following that, 1920: Evil Returns hit theaters in 2012 and included Aftab Shivdasani and Tia Bajpai. The series continued with 1920 London: Fear Strikes Again in 2016, starring Sharman Joshi. The most recent installment, 1921, brought a fresh story from England featuring Karan Kundrra and Zareen Khan.

Over the years, the 1920 franchise has attracted a dedicated fan base with its mix of horror, mystery, and supernatural elements. While details about 1920: Cold Winter remain under wraps, the title suggests a chilling atmosphere that is bound to send shivers down the audience’s spines.

With Vikram Bhatt back behind the camera and Anand Pandit supporting the project, 1920: Cold Winter is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated horror films coming soon. Fans can look forward to another frightening adventure as the iconic series turns the page to its next chapter.
