InterSystems Partners with 59stVentures to Enhance Data Connectivity in Asia-Pacific

On May 28th, InterSystems, a leading data technology company, announced a new partnership with 59stVentures aimed at creating more connected and AI-friendly data environments across the ASEAN region and the wider Asia-Pacific area.

This collaboration combines InterSystems’ expertise in high-performance data platforms with 59stVentures’ innovative approach to regional digital transformation. The goal is to help organizations deal with fragmented and siloed data, which often hinders effective decision-making and slows digital growth.

Many businesses within ASEAN face challenges due to their data being spread across various systems and formats. This disconnection limits their ability to gain comprehensive insights. Together, InterSystems and 59stVentures plan to break down these barriers, enabling organizations to integrate and streamline their data, thereby facilitating the adoption of AI and real-time analytics.

AI-Ready Solutions for Key Industries

InterSystems offers robust data platforms such as InterSystems IRIS and InterSystems IRIS for Health. These platforms allow organizations to unify data from complex systems and support recognized standards like HL7 FHIR, which is essential for healthcare data sharing.

By aligning their technologies with local needs, 59stVentures and InterSystems aim to help organizations create interoperable, AI-ready data environments more effectively. This will promote faster adoption of solutions tailored to the varying regulatory and operational landscapes in the region.

The ultimate aim of this partnership is to help both private enterprises and public sector agencies evolve from reactive processes to predictive and resilient models. While healthcare remains a focus—especially in managing medical records—the partnership will also extend to sectors like supply chain and smart cities, using tools like InterSystems Data Studio and InterSystems Supply Chain Orchestrator.

Jim Lim, Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director of 59stVentures, highlighted the urgency for organizations to adopt AI across Southeast Asia despite the challenges posed by fragmented data. He stated, “AI success relies on trustworthy, interoperable data ecosystems and strong collaboration within industries.”

Luciano Brustia, Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific at InterSystems, echoed this sentiment, mentioning the growing momentum around AI in the region. He commented, “Through this partnership, we aim to introduce global best practices to accelerate AI adoption and generate significant results.”

This collaboration marks an important step forward in helping organizations across the region unlock the full potential of their data.
