Namit Malhotra’s “Ramayana” Plans a Pre-Diwali Release

The highly anticipated film “Ramayana,” produced by Namit Malhotra, is gearing up for a release on Diwali 2026. This grand project has assembled a star-studded cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol, all under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari. Earlier this year, the film’s first teaser made quite an impact, drawing significant attention.

Recently, reports have emerged that the release date for “Ramayana: Part One” may actually be moved up by a week, landing on October 30, 2026. An insider mentioned that Malhotra aims for the film to gain traction before Diwali, hoping that strong word of mouth will help the movie perform even better in its second week, especially during the festive season.

Negotiations are currently underway, with the final decision expected soon. The production team is also busy securing a distribution deal, reportedly considering an impressive Rs. 450 crore offer from top distributors.

As for the sequel, “Ramayana: Part Two” is set to hit theaters on Diwali 2027, just one year after the first part.

This epic film promises to be a significant milestone in Bollywood, blending culture and cinema in a way that resonates deeply with audiences.
