In a tragic turn of events, Russian drone and missile strikes targeted the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of at least five people and injuring 46 others. Oleksandr Hanzha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk region, confirmed that four victims were discovered in the wreckage of a house destroyed during overnight attacks.
Hanzha reported on Telegram that the assaults on Dnipro and neighboring areas continued throughout the night, igniting fires and causing significant damage to apartment buildings, businesses, and a private residence.
In a separate incident later on Saturday afternoon, another life was claimed in Dnipro, specifically in a residential area that had already faced strikes earlier. The total number of wounded stood at 46.
Meanwhile, to the southwest, the Odesa region also experienced drone strikes overnight, resulting in injuries to two people. Damage was reported to residential buildings, port facilities, and vehicles in that area, according to regional head Oleh Kiper.
