IRGC Intelligence Chief Majid Khademi Falls in Targeted Israeli Strike

Trump Signals Possible Iran Deal Amid Ongoing Tensions

Recently, U.S. Special Forces executed a bold operation to rescue a U.S. officer after an F-15E plane went down in Iran. President Trump confirmed the mission and gave a 48-hour ultimatum for a deal with Iran, claiming he could escalate the situation dramatically and take control of oil reserves. He also threatened to target power plants and bridges in Iran.

In related news, Israel announced the death of Brig. Gen. Majid Khademi, the intelligence chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a targeted strike. An Israeli official noted that Asghar Bagheri, a commander of the Quds Force, was also killed in the operation.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strike, accusing Khademi of playing a key role in advancing terrorist activities abroad and monitoring Iranian citizens as the government cracked down on protests.

A senior Israeli official stated that Khademi was a significant figure within the IRGC, managing to dodge previous attacks until now. His work involved an intelligence network that often failed to foresee or prevent major Israeli and U.S. operations, exposing weaknesses in Iran’s security.

Khademi was known for attempting to penetrate U.S. systems, including efforts to breach the Pentagon, and had extensive cooperation with Russia. Losing him is seen as a major setback for Iran’s intelligence leadership, especially during a time of heightened pressure on the regime.

Bagheri, who was killed in the same operation, was also linked to recruiting agents in the Middle East and planning attacks against American forces in Iraq and Syria, resulting in U.S. casualties.

Khademi had a long history in intelligence and counter-espionage, previously leading the Guard’s Intelligence Protection Organization, which focused on internal surveillance.

The IRGC’s intelligence division is one of Iran’s most powerful security forces, crucial for monitoring domestic activities and countering foreign influence.
