On Sunday, President Donald Trump highlighted the importance of the United States taking the lead in maintaining the lowest interest rates globally, as the Federal Reserve prepares for an upcoming meeting this week.
While attending the Irish Open golf championship, Trump was asked about possible interest rate increases. He admitted that he was unsure about the decisions the Fed would make on Wednesday.
Trump pointed out America’s strong credit position, noting that the U.S. plays a significant role in boosting the economies of other countries. He also mentioned that this positive influence could be changed quickly if necessary.
