At the recent Amazon Prime Video event called ‘It Starts Here,’ the production team announced a new series titled Raakh. This dark crime drama promises to explore the complexities of human emotions and psychology. Along with the announcement, the first visuals from the series were shared, giving a sneak peek into its eerie atmosphere.

Raakh centers on a gripping story: when two teenagers go missing, their close-knit family is left devastated, and the city becomes tense. A determined police officer takes on the challenge of leading a nationwide search to find the truth, diving deep into a world filled with violence and moral decay. The series aims to go beyond just a missing persons investigation, allowing viewers to see the emotional and psychological impacts of such a tragedy.

Produced by Endemol Shine India in collaboration with BhaDiPa, the series boasts a talented lineup of creators. The production team includes Deepak Dhar, Rishi Negi, Mrinalini Jain, and Shyam Rathi, while Sunanda Gupta plays the role of creative producer.

The series is directed by Prosit Roy, who also serves as the executive producer. The storyline is crafted by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket, with dialogues written by Ayush Trivedi.

The impressive cast features Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre, Aamir Bashir, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Rakesh Bedi, adding depth to the narrative.

Raakh aims to set itself apart from typical crime dramas. It intends to reveal layers of darkness with each clue and raises unsettling questions with each answer.

As excitement builds following its announcement, Raakh is poised to be a noteworthy addition to India’s expanding collection of emotionally driven thrillers on streaming platforms.
