Actor Tisca Chopra is heartbroken following the passing of her mother, Pammi Arora, who died on March 7. Tisca took to Instagram on March 11 to share the sad news, posting a collection of cherished photographs of herself with her mother and father, alongside a heartfelt message celebrating her mother’s life and the values she instilled.
In her tribute, Tisca painted a picture of her mother as a source of warmth and joy. She wrote, “On March 7, we bid farewell to my mother, Pammi Arora. Those who met her loved her right away. She had a special way of making people feel light-hearted. If something went wrong, she would simply say, ‘Mitti pao’—let it go. Life is too beautiful to dwell on problems.”
Tisca reflected on the important lessons her mother taught her about staying positive and strong. She shared, “One of the best lessons I learned from her was, ‘You already have a ‘no’ in your pocket. Now go out and get a ‘yes’.’ This was classic Pammi Arora—practical optimism with a sparkle in her eye. She also gifted me the artistic spirit that guided my life—the urge to perform, share stories, and embrace color instead of monotony.”
In addition to being a loving mother, Tisca highlighted her mother’s impact as a beloved teacher. She was known to her students as ‘Arora Ma’am,’ someone who made learning feel warm and welcoming. Tisca shared that her mother created an environment that felt more like home rather than a typical school.
Tisca also admired her mother’s strength in facing challenges. Despite battling cancer and dealing with a broken hip, Pammi remained strong and joyful, even dancing to music while in the ICU.
As Tisca concluded her tribute, she remembered her mother as an inspiring and resilient person. Following her post, many fans and fellow celebrities shared their condolences in the comments.
