SYDNEY — Australia won the toss and chose to bat first in the final one-day international against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday. This marks India’s 18th straight loss at the toss in ODI matches.
Australia has already secured the series with two victories, including a narrow win by two wickets in the last match played in Adelaide. Captain Mitchell Marsh played a key role in the previous game, scoring an unbeaten 46 in a rain-affected match in Perth.
For today’s game, Australia made one change, bringing in Nathan Ellis for Xavier Bartlett. India opted for two changes, including Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna into the lineup.
India’s tour doesn’t end here; they will embark on a five-match T20 series starting next Wednesday. Meanwhile, Australia is set to prepare for the upcoming Ashes test series against England.
