Tributes Pour In for Veteran Actor Satish Shah

Veteran actor Satish Shah, beloved for his memorable roles in shows like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and films such as Main Hoon Na, has sadly passed away. He was 74 years old. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit announced the news on social media, sharing that Satish was taken to Hinduja Hospital, where he succumbed to kidney failure.

Satish Shah was well-known for his portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, which earned him immense affection from fans. His comedy skills shined in many popular films, including Hum Saath Saath Hain, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, and Kal Ho Naa Ho. His career in television began in the 1980s, marking him as a familiar face for audiences, especially during the early days of Doordarshan.

Born in Gujarat, Satish completed his studies at Xavier’s College and later attended the Film and Television Institute of India. He made his acting debut in the film Bhagwan Parshuram in 1970, but gained popularity with the cult classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Throughout the 1980s, he appeared in various horror films and was often seen in significant television roles, including Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi.

Satish is survived by his wife, Madhu Shah. The film and television industry mourns the loss of a talented actor who brought joy to many through his performances.
