Helios Technologies Announces New Leadership Changes
Helios Technologies, a leader in motion control and electronic controls, recently shared important updates regarding its executive team. On August 28, the company announced that Michael Connaway will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Jeremy Evans will step up as the Chief Accounting Officer, starting September 1, 2025.
Mr. Connaway’s official start date is set for October, though an exact date has yet to be confirmed. With this shift, current CFO Sean Bagan will continue his role as President and CEO, but will relinquish his CFO duties.
Sean Bagan expressed his enthusiasm about these appointments, stating, “These changes highlight our effort to build a top-notch leadership team. Michael brings over 20 years of experience in finance and operations, making him an excellent fit for our long-term strategy. Jeremy has already proven his impact since joining us in 2024, and we trust in his leadership.” He added that the new roles aim to bolster the company’s financial stability and encourage sustainable growth.
Michael Connaway comes to Helios from Aviat Networks, where he served as CFO. His professional journey began with General Electric, where he spent 16 years, culminating as Head of Global Financial Planning & Analysis. He’s also held significant positions at ABB and Honeywell, bringing extensive industry experience with him. Connaway holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Boston College.
“I’m looking forward to joining Helios and working closely with Sean and the entire team. My aim is to enhance financial planning and improve operational productivity,” said Connaway. He believes his background in leading technology companies will be beneficial to Helios’s market growth.
Jeremy Evans joined Helios in January 2024 and has been instrumental in improving financial reporting and overseeing complex accounting matters. Before Helios, he garnered 25 years of experience at Tech Data, serving as Vice President of Accounting Transformation. He holds degrees in Math and Spanish from Eckerd College and an MBA from the University of Sarasota, along with a CPA license.
“I’m grateful for the chance to collaborate with Sean, Michael, and the talented leadership team at Helios. I have seen the innovative capabilities our teams possess, and I’m excited to contribute to the company’s future success,” Evans commented.
Helios Technologies continues to evolve by strengthening its leadership to better position itself for growth and market leadership.
