Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan Kick Off New Film “Haiwaan”
Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have officially started filming their exciting new project, “Haiwaan,” directed by the renowned Priyadarshan. This marks a reunion after nearly 18 years, with the shoot commencing today in Kochi, Kerala.
In a fun behind-the-scenes video shared by Akshay, he playfully teases his co-star and director. Wearing a T-shirt that reads “Saint,” he jokes about his character and mentions that Saif might turn out to be a different kind of character. Akshay light-heartedly says, “For all you know, he (Saif) must be the devil.”
He captioned the clip, expressing his joy about starting the shoot: “We all have a little bit of mischief in us… Some appear as Saints, while others are more like Haiwaan. Excited to work again with my favorite director, Priyadarshan, and Saif after almost two decades. Let the fun begin!”
This film reunites the duo for the first time since their movie “Tashan,” released in 2008. “Haiwaan” is said to be a Hindi remake of Priyadarshan’s well-received 2016 Malayalam thriller “Oppam.”
Produced by KVN Productions in collaboration with Thespian Films, the movie also stars Kajol, Bobby Deol, and Einar Haraldsson in key roles. Filming will occur in various locations, including Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai, with a release date set for 2026.
