ZEE5 Launches Trailer for New Series "Chhal Kapat: The Deception"
ZEE5 has just released the trailer for its exciting new series, "Chhal Kapat: The Deception." The story unfolds in a picturesque village near Burhanpur during an intimate wedding. The bride-to-be, Alisha Dixit, decides to host her celebration in her family’s ancestral haveli. It’s a chance for her childhood friends—Mehak, Ira, and Shalu—to reunite after years apart. However, what starts as a joyful gathering swiftly becomes tragic when Shalu, now a popular social media influencer, is found dead.
As the celebration spirals into a psychological thriller, friendships are tested amidst hidden secrets and feelings of betrayal. Each character carries their own scars and unresolved issues, complicating the already tense atmosphere. At the forefront of the investigation is Inspector Devika, played by Shriya Pilgaonkar. She’s no ordinary cop; her own past shapes her keen instincts, giving her a unique ability to see through the lies and deception that surround her.
Devika’s experiences with domestic abuse enhance her insights rather than weaken her resolve.
