Hims & Hers Expands Into Australia, Marking Its First Step Into the Asia-Pacific Market
Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (NYSE: HIMS), a leader in health and wellness services, has officially launched its offerings in Australia, representing its first presence in the Asia-Pacific region. This move follows the company’s acquisition of Eucalyptus earlier this year and includes the rebranding of Eucalyptus’ men’s health platform, Pilot, to the Hims brand.
Australia is seen as a significant growth opportunity for Hims & Hers, particularly in its international business. The telehealth sector in Australia is anticipated to grow substantially, reaching USD 2.56 billion by 2034. The company aims to achieve USD 1 billion in international revenue within three years, with Australia playing a crucial role in that goal. Notably, nearly 30% of Pilot’s patients are from regional and rural areas, where access to healthcare has often been a challenge.
Effective immediately, Pilot will operate under the Hims name. Customers can expect to retain their treatment plans and connect with trusted providers, now supported by a large health platform.
Tim Doyle, the founder of Eucalyptus and now Senior Vice President of International at Hims & Hers, expressed enthusiasm for the launch. “Eucalyptus started in Australia, and it feels right that our journey with Hims starts here too,” he said. Doyle emphasized that Australian men desire a more personalized healthcare experience, which this new venture aims to provide.
Dr. Matt Vickers, Chief Medical Officer of Hims Australia and a practicing general practitioner, stressed the importance of timely health care. He noted that the new service will maintain high clinical standards while making healthcare more accessible.
To ensure quality service for Australian customers, Hims is investing in local leadership and expertise. Tim Doyle will manage the Australian market alongside Gus Wood, while Dr. Vickers will ensure that all care complies with local medical practices.
This expansion aims to foster a better healthcare experience for men in Australia, addressing unmet needs and improving health outcomes through innovative solutions.
