Alia Bhatt, one of the leading actresses in Indian cinema, is currently busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film, Love & War, which features Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal alongside her. Alia has dedicated over 200 days to this project, and it is expected to conclude by October 2025. However, there have been few updates regarding her upcoming projects after Love & War. According to reports, she is in advanced discussions with the acclaimed National Award-winning director Nag Ashwin for a new film.

As Nag Ashwin prepares for the next installment of Kalki 2898 AD, he is eager to collaborate with Alia Bhatt in a leading role for a different film. A source shared that while details about the genre and other specifics remain confidential, both the director and the actress are excited about the potential partnership. Alia is reportedly impressed with the unique world that Nag aims to create.

Although the talks are progressing well, the deal has not yet been completed. The source explained that Alia wants to finalize her commitments to Love & War before agreeing to take on another film starting in November. Nag Ashwin is eager to begin filming his new project in November to keep to a certain timeline since Kalki 2898 AD is set to start in the latter half of 2026. The two parties are currently discussing details about the schedule and logistics to ensure everything falls into place before signing any contracts.

Last year, Alia was also close to starring in a romantic film titled Housewife, directed by Abhishek Pathak, and discussions for that project are still ongoing. The source added that if negotiations go smoothly, her next four films could include Alpha, Love & War, the new project with Nag Ashwin, or Housewife, along with a horror-comedy film titled Chamunda.

With exciting projects in the pipeline, Alia Bhatt continues to be a significant figure in the film industry.
