Nomi Health Partners with ACAP to Enhance Care for Vulnerable Populations

OREM, Utah, January 24, 2025 – Nomi Health, a leading direct healthcare provider, has announced that it has been selected as a Preferred Vendor by the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP). This national group represents not-for-profit Safety Net Health Plans throughout the United States. Nomi Health is excited to collaborate with ACAP to improve health outcomes for individuals with limited resources or significant health challenges.

ACAP’s member plans serve over 30 million people through programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, and the Health Insurance Marketplace. The organization aims to create a future where everyone can access high-quality, affordable healthcare, regardless of their financial situation.

Sara Ratner, President of Integrated Programs at Nomi Health, expressed her enthusiasm about this partnership, stating, "ACAP has always stood up for the needs of vulnerable groups. We’re eager to join the Preferred Vendor program and support ACAP’s efforts to drive innovation and equity in healthcare." She looks forward to implementing initiatives that will help make healthcare more accessible.

A Trusted Leader in Healthcare Innovation

Sara Ratner leads Nomi Health’s Integrated Programs, including the Nexus program, which focuses on providing real-time access to care for hard-to-reach populations. With a strong background in healthcare leadership and innovation, Ratner has held key roles at various companies and co-founded Proximal Health, all aimed at improving access to healthcare services and ensuring that care is both equitable and efficient.

ACAP’s CEO, Margaret A. Murray, welcomed Nomi Health to their Preferred Vendor program, noting, "Our Safety Net Health Plans are eager to explore how Nomi Health can improve care delivery, lower costs, and enhance health outcomes for those they serve."

Moving Towards Fair Access in Healthcare

Nomi Health shares ACAP’s commitment to creating an open, efficient, and accessible healthcare system. The company emphasizes coordinated care management, direct contracting, and data-driven decision-making, aligning well with ACAP’s objectives. In her new role, Ratner plans to utilize her extensive experience to support not-for-profit Safety Net Health Plans in delivering quality care to underserved communities.

About ACAP

ACAP represents 84 health plans that together offer health coverage to more than 30 million individuals. Their plans cater to members through Medicaid, Medicare, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the Marketplace, and other publicly funded health initiatives.
