Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has recently shared some exciting news regarding the much-anticipated comedy sequel, Hera Pheri 3. During an interview with Pinkvilla, he expressed his eagerness to begin production on the film, which has a huge fan base.

Akshay mentioned, “I’m also looking forward to starting Hera Pheri 3. If everything goes to plan, we should start shooting this year.” His enthusiasm has renewed hope among fans who have long been waiting for this sequel.

Reflecting on the original Hera Pheri film series, Akshay shared that he never expected it to become so popular. “When we first made Hera Pheri, we had no idea it would turn into such a phenomenon. I could see it was funny, but we never anticipated how beloved the characters Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam would become,” he said.

He also fondly recalled working with his co-star Paresh Rawal, sharing a light-hearted story from their time filming Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur. “We had a lot of fun on set. While filming Hera Pheri, we enjoyed ourselves immensely—though some of those moments are best kept off-camera,” he laughed.

The Hera Pheri series began in 2000 with the film directed by Priyadarshan, introducing the comedic adventures of Babu Bhaiya (played by Paresh Rawal), Raju (played by Akshay Kumar), and Shyam (played by Suniel Shetty). The film quickly won over audiences with its distinctive humor and catchy lines. Its sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, released in 2006 and solidified the series as a favorite among comedy lovers in Bollywood.

In other news, Akshay is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, Sky Force, which is set to hit theatres on January 24. The film also stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in significant roles.
