The team behind Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has just released a new teaser, offering fans a closer look at this highly anticipated period gangster drama featuring Yash. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 26, 2026, as confirmed last month.

Since its announcement, Toxic has generated significant buzz, especially since it marks Yash’s return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus. The actor was last seen in the popular KGF franchise, and details about this new film have been kept under wraps, adding to the excitement. The recently unveiled teaser has certainly sparked more interest.

The teaser features a voiceover discussing how “love makes women monsters,” as it introduces the female leads, including Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, and Rukmini Vasanth. Each actress showcases a unique look, hinting at their individual characters in the film.

In the teaser, Kiara, Tara, and Huma appear in glamorous outfits, while Nayanthara and Rukmini are shown in more action-packed scenes. Although the video doesn’t reveal much about the plot, it clearly highlights the importance of the female characters, indicating they play significant roles.

The announcement also reaffirmed the film’s release date of August 26, 2026, with a poster released earlier in June putting to rest speculation about when it would hit theaters.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, alongside Yash, who is producing through his own banner, Monster Mind Creations. Yash plays a dual role, and the film is said to have a staggering budget of between ₹850 crore to ₹1,000 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

This movie marks Yash’s 19th project as a lead actor and has been filmed in both Kannada and English, with plans for a broad multilingual release. Principal filming began in August 2024 and wrapped up in October 2025, taking place across various locations, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa, Thoothukudi, and Jaipur.

With the latest teaser highlighting the star-studded cast, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is raising anticipation among viewers. As the release date approaches, fans are eager to see a full trailer that will provide a glimpse into Yash’s dual role and the unique world crafted by director Geetu Mohandas.
