PHILSME Opens Doors for Entrepreneurs at 18th Business Expo
Manila, Philippines — The 18th Philippine SME (PHILSME) Business Expo & Conference recently welcomed over 10,000 entrepreneurs, startups, and business professionals at the SMX Convention Center Manila. This gathering highlighted the desire for in-person networking amidst a growing digital landscape.
This year’s event, themed “Legacy in Motion: Empowering Growth to the Nation,” featured more than 190 exhibitors, 260 business solutions, numerous conference sessions, and opportunities for mentorship and collaboration.
Despite the rise of online platforms, the expo showcased how entrepreneurs still value face-to-face interactions for building networks and seeking mentorship. With vibrant conversations beyond the stage, attendees were clearly looking for real-world business connections.
The event kicked off with a ceremony led by PHILSME CEO Trixie Esguerra-Abrenilla, alongside other dignitaries, including Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona. “Each expo reflects our strong belief in supporting Filipino entrepreneurs,” said broadcaster David Celdran during the opening remarks.
As attendees dispersed throughout the venue, they utilized the busy networking areas and exhibitor booths to connect with peers, mentors, and industry leaders, emphasizing the importance of building lasting relationships.
“We’re thrilled to see how exhibitors and visitors leave with not just leads but genuine connections,” Esguerra-Abrenilla noted, underscoring PHILSME’s mission to cultivate a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Undersecretary Lantayona also spoke about the vital role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in national progress, stating, “Their impact goes beyond profits; it touches lives and strengthens communities.”
