The Don 3 situation has taken an interesting turn recently. Reports suggest that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has now directed a non-cooperation stance against Ranveer Singh after he stepped away from the film. This incident has once again highlighted the rift between the actor and Excel Entertainment, the company led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Sources indicate that efforts to resolve the disagreement were initiated earlier this year during a key meeting involving several prominent figures in the industry, including Aamir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Karan Johar. During this meeting, Ranveer’s team proposed a unique offer to Excel Entertainment.

A source revealed, “Ranveer’s team suggested paying Rs. 10 crores upfront to the company. Additionally, they offered a Rs. 25 crores discount for any future films that Excel might want to do with him, aiming to maintain a professional relationship.”

Despite this attempt, Farhan and Ritesh did not accept the proposal. They believed that offering a future discount wasn’t practical since they had no plans to work with Ranveer again. According to reports, they felt the prior challenges had caused significant damage to their business.

The disagreement appears to arise from Excel Entertainment’s claims of substantial expenditures on Don 3‘s pre-production. They have also sought compensation for losses incurred during preparations for the film.

On the other hand, Ranveer’s side has expressed concerns about Excel’s efforts to consider other actors for the role during a difficult time for him. There were discussions about casting Hrithik Roshan, which did not sit well with Ranveer and his team.

An insider mentioned, “Ranveer felt that if Excel wasn’t fully supporting him when he needed it the most, the trust between them had been broken. He was also uncertain about the script as a continuation of his earlier work.”

At the same time, those close to Ranveer maintain he did not intend to leave Excel without support. “That’s why he made the offer. It was his way of trying to resolve the matter amicably,” the source added.

Now, with the FWICE’s directive, the situation has escalated. What was initially a private disagreement has turned into a significant topic of discussion in the film industry.

Both parties are currently contemplating their next steps. What’s evident is that the fallout from Don 3 has opened a new chapter in industry disputes, with all eyes on Ranveer Singh, Excel Entertainment, and the wider film community.
