Breaking News: ‘Pushpa 2 – The Rule’ Hindi Version Gets CBFC Approval with Minor Edits

On December 3, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) approved the Hindi version of the highly anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2 – The Rule’, just 48 hours before its release. While the film received clearance, it underwent a few edits to comply with certification guidelines.

In a significant change, the term ‘Ramavatar’ was replaced with ‘Bhagwan’. Additionally, the phrase ‘Haraam zaada’ was removed from the dialogue three times and substituted with ‘Haraamkhor’. Other changes included a dialogue that was adjusted for Hindi, and the removal of a scene featuring an amputated leg, which was also cut from the original Telugu version.

The CBFC also mandated the inclusion of anti-smoking warnings in scenes where smoking is depicted, ensuring viewers are informed about the health risks associated with tobacco use.

The original Telugu version obtained its certification on November 28. The board requested the removal of the term ‘r***i’ in three instances, along with cuts to the words ‘Denguddi’ and ‘Venkateshwar’. A scene where the main character holds a severed arm was altered to keep the more graphic aspects off-screen.

Both versions of ‘Pushpa 2 – The Rule’ have been granted a U/A certificate and run for a total of 200.38 minutes. Featuring popular actors Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, this action-packed sequel is set to hit theaters on December 5. Directed by Sukumar, the film’s predecessor, ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01’, became a blockbuster, garnering significant attention in both Hindi and Telugu markets. This has only heightened excitement ahead of the sequel’s debut.

Stay tuned for more updates on this blockbuster!
