The upcoming film The India Story is generating buzz with the announcement of its teaser release. This movie features the first-time on-screen pairing of Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade and delves into a pressing issue: the adverse effects of chemical use in pesticide farming and its impact on public health.
Directed by Chettan DK and produced by Zee Studios alongside MIG Production & Studios, The India Story, also known as The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress, addresses broader concerns beyond just one family’s experience. It highlights serious national challenges related to corporate responsibility and the need for better regulations in the industry.
Director Chettan DK shared, “The dedication from every team member has been immense. Kajal and Shreyas have given nuanced performances that elevate the film, and our goal has been to make the story both engaging and impactful.”
The film’s production also involves co-producers Sumit Bagade, Anita Jadhav, and others, with a talented technical crew including cinematographer Nishant Bhagwat, music composer Mangesh Dhakde, and editor Ashish Mhatre.
The India Story is set to hit theaters on July 24, 2026, and will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It promises to be a thought-provoking release from Zee Studios.
