Seoul: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with Lee Yong-chul, South Korea’s Minister for Defence Acquisition Programme Administration, in Seoul on Wednesday. They both expressed a strong desire to foster partnerships in joint development, production, and exports of defense technologies. After their meeting, Singh shared his thoughts on X, stating, “Had a fruitful meeting with the South Korean Minister for Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Mr. Lee Yong-chul. We agreed to harness our efforts to create avenues for joint development, production, and exports.”
They also discussed a roadmap aimed at maximizing the potential of the KIND-X initiative, which focuses on combining the innovation capacities of both countries.
Earlier that day, Singh held talks with his South Korean counterpart Ahn Gyu Back. Their discussion centered around enhancing defense cooperation between India and South Korea. Singh remarked, “Held an excellent meeting with my South Korean counterpart, Ahn Gyu Back. We explored ways to deepen our defense, defense industry, and strategic cooperation, all while committing to regional peace, stability, and technological collaboration.”
