The Art of Living Foundation is gearing up for a major milestone, celebrating 45 years of its humanitarian and spiritual contributions. This grand event will take place at its International Centre in Bengaluru from May 10 to May 26, 2026. It also marks the 70th birthday of the foundation’s founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the celebrations and deliver the keynote speech on May 10. He will also unveil a new meditation hall, the Dhyan Mandir, at the Bengaluru campus. Moreover, he will introduce a series of nationwide initiatives aimed at promoting mental well-being, rural development, nature conservation, and social transformation throughout the year.

Notable personalities are expected to join the festivities at different times, including Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, and producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Mahaveer Jain.

Founded in 1981, The Art of Living operates in 182 countries, impacting over a billion people through its programs focused on stress relief, education, and community service. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has expressed the organization’s vision: “A healthy society is marked by smiles on every face. That has been our mission for 45 years.”

Speaking ahead of the event, PM Modi highlighted the significance of Art of Living’s teachings, stating, “It encourages people to act with awareness and compassion, which is the essence of true yoga. In a world searching for solutions to anxiety and conflict, many are looking towards India for guidance.”

The upcoming celebrations aim to attract participants from across the globe, including government leaders, business experts, state chief ministers, union ministers, athletes, and artists. Organizers expect attendees from diverse backgrounds, such as civil servants, farmers, students, and international delegates.

On May 13, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will lead a Global Meditation for World Peace, which will be livestreamed worldwide, uniting people in a shared experience.

The celebrations will run until May 26, focusing on India’s spiritual heritage and its role in promoting global well-being and harmony.
