Gallagher Re Appoints Minesh Jani as CEO of India
Gallagher Re, a leading global reinsurance broker and advisory firm, has named Minesh Jani as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for India.
A spokesperson from Gallagher Re highlighted Jani’s significant experience, saying, “Minesh has formed strong, collaborative relationships with clients, markets, and regulators in the region. His proactive mindset and extensive knowledge of the Indian market will be vital for our ongoing growth in the area.”
Before joining Gallagher Re, Jani served as the Managing Director at Howden Insurance Brokers Limited’s DIFC branch. He previously held the position of CEO at Ed MENA, a company focused on reinsurance in India and the surrounding regions, which was later acquired by The Ardonagh Group.
In addition, Jani has experience as the President of Reinsurance at ARPL, where he managed markets in India and the Indian Subcontinent. He has a rich history in portfolio structuring and risk placement in global markets.
Jani has also worked for nearly five years at WTW in Mumbai, spent time at BMS India, and was part of ICICI Lombard. Earlier in his career, he dedicated about six years to the J.B. BODA Group as a Manager in reinsurance focused on Africa.
With this strong background, Gallagher Re looks forward to Jani’s leadership in expanding their operations in India.
