Just a day after leaked photos from the set of the eagerly awaited action-drama King surfaced online, director Siddharth Anand has stepped in with a response. The images, which show Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone filming in Cape Town, caused a stir among fans but also raised concerns for the film’s production team about maintaining the surprise element.

Anand took to social media to ask fans and online communities not to share unauthorized content from the shoot. He highlighted the importance of preserving the film’s mystique and encouraged everyone to wait for the official announcements.

In his message, he said, “I kindly request all fans not to post or circulate any leaked materials from the sets of King. The team is working hard to ensure a fantastic cinematic experience for everyone. Let’s hold on for the surprises that await us on the big screen. Thank you for your love, support, and cooperation.”

The leaked photos display a heartfelt moment between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone holding hands, quickly gaining traction online and heightening excitement about the film. King is particularly special for Shah Rukh Khan supporters as it features his daughter, Suhana Khan, in her first major film role alongside her father. While Suhana has acted before in The Archies, this marks her big screen debut, adding a personal touch to the film’s anticipation.

In addition to the father-daughter duo, the film boasts an impressive cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, and Raghav Juyal in key roles. Given Anand’s reputation for delivering high-energy action films, expectations are soaring for King to be a spectacular cinematic experience.

Currently in production, King has seen filming in various international locations, with Cape Town being a notable highlight. The production team had been keeping the storyline and visuals under wraps, making this leak a hiccup in their marketing plans.

Scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026, King is generating significant buzz, and fans are eagerly awaiting official glimpses of what is set to be one of the biggest Bollywood films of the year.
