Renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has been appointed as the Festival Director for the 57th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). This announcement comes from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, highlighting Gowariker’s ongoing connection with this prestigious event.
Gowariker has enjoyed a lasting relationship with IFFI, having attended the festival since 1984. Over the years, he has taken on various roles, including serving as Jury President for International Cinema in 2024. His journey illustrates a deep bond with the festival and its developments.
Expressing his excitement about this new role, Gowariker remarked, “I am truly proud and delighted to be the Festival Director for IFFI in Goa.
