Recently, his latest movie, Bhooth Bangla, hit theaters and is performing well. Additionally, he has wrapped up filming Haiwaan, which features popular actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
In an exciting update, Priyadarshan has shared that he is already working on two more projects—one with Pankaj Tripathi and another with Mohanlal. But there’s more: it has come to light that he has also started a new film secretly.
A source close to the project has revealed that Priyadarshan has signed Akshay Kumar for this upcoming film. It promises to be a fun, family-friendly entertainer that will appeal to the younger audience. This project will be produced by Tips Films, marking their first collaboration with Priyadarshan, after Akshay’s previous work with them in Entertainment back in 2014.
Akshay and Priyadarshan have teamed up on seven films before, including hits like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The upcoming projects will bring their total collaborations to nine, with Hera Pheri 3 also in the pipeline once some legal matters are settled.
During the promotions of Bhooth Bangla, Akshay expressed his admiration for Priyadarshan, particularly praising his punctuality. Akshay noted, “This man is full of discipline. That’s why we work so well together. Our schedules are clear, and everything runs smoothly.”
