Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi Cleared in Drug Case

Actors Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi are likely to receive some good news regarding a high-profile drug case from 2022. The Mumbai Police have reportedly found no evidence linking them to the alleged drug network. Alongside them, social media personality Orhan Awatramani (also known as Orry) and actor Siddhanth Kapoor are also expected to be cleared of any charges in the ongoing investigation.

The case first came to light in August 2022 when the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch and Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested an alleged drug trafficker, Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh. During the operation, police recovered drugs worth around ₹1.19 lakh. Shaikh claimed to have supplied drugs at parties attended by various public figures, which led to multiple names being mentioned in the case.

In 2025, both Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi were questioned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell. However, according to reports, the police couldn’t find any substantial evidence linking them to the drug supply network.

A source indicated that the police have almost wrapped up their investigation and are working on filing a supplementary chargesheet. An initial chargesheet had already been filed against three individuals, and the new document will include updates on two arrested suspects and others still wanted. Unfortunately for the celebrities, it appears there isn’t enough evidence to keep their names in the case.

This development brings some clarity to a case that had received plenty of attention due to the involvement of well-known personalities. While the investigation will continue against those directly tied to the drug supply chain, the lack of evidence against the filmmakers has allowed them to be excluded from ongoing proceedings.

In response to this news, Orhan Awatramani took to social media to express his feelings. He shared a screenshot of an article about the case and wrote, “Where are all the clickbaiting jealous virgins who oversensationalised this and dragged my good name for weeks?” His post echoes the frustration of others who found themselves in the spotlight due to the case’s early media coverage.
