The match, which did not feature many exciting moments, displayed Gukesh’s ability to regain his focus after his earlier defeat. In the first game, he had made a significant mistake while playing the French Defense, leading to his loss. This time, however, he held his ground well and displayed a strong performance as he played with the black pieces.
